Brigitte has a chat about her time as a Volunteer in Madagascar, where she saw whale sharks, dolphins, lemurs, turtles, snakes and much more! As much as she loved the diving experiences, she says Madasgascar and the people she met were the best part!

With a passion for the ocean, Gina travelled to Madagascar to take part on our Marine Conservation and Diving Project hoping to learn much more about marine life. She left with a sense of accomplishment – and some sore legs!
Lauren went to Madagascar hoping to see some of the country’s wildlife up close and experiencing new ways of learning. Once she got to the camp, she has been on a number of wildlife walks but has enjoyed meeting the locals.
Anna is a medical student and was hoping to find an opportunity to gain some experience as well as travel and take a break from university life in Poland. During her stay in Madagascar, she felt she could make a difference in the life of the Malagasy. The locals were very grateful for the help of the students – something Anna had never experienced before.
Mitchell had always wanted to teach, but never wanted to be a teacher, so the Madagascar Teaching project provided him with the perfect opportunity to experience that dream! He is also minoring in French back in the United States, and Madagascar has definitely helped him improve his language skills. In fact, he liked the project so much that he stayed on to become a staff member for over a month!
Frances Warry took some stunning wildlife photos while on Frontier’s Wildlife Conservation Adventure project and had a really incredible experience, even though she spent a relatively short amount of time on the project. Rachel spent 3 weeks on Frontier's Madagascar Wildlife Conservation Adventure project. “Volunteering abroad is something everyone should consider doing at some point”, Rachel said, “You get the experience of seeing first-hand what problems are happening in the world and how we can try to resolve them”.
