Saying Goodbye To Siem  Reap

This has been our finale week in Siem reap an there is plenty of mixed emotions, we have already said goodbye to two volunteers which spent two weeks with us teaching. When traveling making friends is easy but this is the down fall as you become close friends much quicker then you would at home.

Week  1

Our first week of the trip was spent in Bangkok and Chiangmai. In Bangkok we visited the Wat Pho temple and the grand palace, the architecture at these sites was a huge contrast to the more westernised style of the rest of the city.

The Difference Between Cambodian And Western  Kids

Since arriving in Siem Reap almost a month ago I've learnt a lot about Cambodian culture and heritage, most of all from volunteering to teach English at a local primary school. It's been an incredible experience and that is entirely due to the kindness, maturity and compassion of the children at Smiling Hearts school.
