South East Asia Trail - Best  Bits

When I first decided to take a gap year, Frontier was an organisation recommended to me by a friend for travelling (since I was 18 and my parents wouldn't even think of letting me travel alone). There are hundreds of trails to choose from on the Frontier website and it was an incredibly tough decision to choose but here is why I'm glad I picked the South East Asia trail:

The Difference Between Cambodian And Western  Kids

Since arriving in Siem Reap almost a month ago I've learnt a lot about Cambodian culture and heritage, most of all from volunteering to teach English at a local primary school. It's been an incredible experience and that is entirely due to the kindness, maturity and compassion of the children at Smiling Hearts school.

Food!

Since arriving 6 weeks ago I have eaten many different Asian dishes. I have managed to eat western food only once which was McDonalds out of convenience. It will be peculiar not eating noodle soup or omelet on rice for breakfast everyday back in the U.K.
