I have worked in Africa before and am insanely and irrevocably in love with this continent! Madagascar is a country that I knew very little about before arriving. I saw the job description and researched the current initiatives that I would be working on and fell in love with the idea of being here.

After another busy week of teaching, laughing and late night chocolate (we have discovered that Champion sells chocolate bars for 2000 AR!), teaching volunteer Georgie and I decided to jump aboard a yacht and sail out to Tanikely.
In the aftermath of the cyclone that hit Madagascar this week, school opened again for the first time this morning. Having completed all of my paper work at the house I decided to go to watch my volunteers in their element – in front of their respective classes!
Interesting fact about yourself? I am an extremely non-identical twin! My curly dark brown haired, green eyed brother works hard running business workshops based out of a London office – a rather different environment!
This week at community we took some time out to go exploring the islands around Nosy Be. Nosy Iranja was our first trip which got off to a great start as we spotted a large group of spinner dolphins. So we quickly grabbed our snorkels and fins and went swimming with the dolphins.
