Welcome to Into The Wild, the Gap Year Blog from Frontier!

Frontier is an international non-profit volunteering NGO, with over 400 conservation, community and adventure projects in over 70 countries that give people the chance to make their travel meaningful.

Volunteers joining a Frontier project are making a valuable contribution in becoming active global citizens, committed to making a positive impact during their time abroad travelling. Frontier offers a huge range of capacity building projects that are flexible and varied for volunteers and run by dedicated and passionate staff.

Projects run anywhere between 1 and 30 weeks and there are a whole variety of short trips for those with limited time. There’s also something to suit every budget and interest, with everything from conservation and community development, to adventure travel experiences and internships abroad.

See projects through the eyes of the volunteers with photos and videos courtesy of the volunteers themselves, and hear all about it straight from the horse’s mouth with volunteer stories.

Get the latest goings on from Frontier’s Group projects with Projects Live where you’ll find out what the projects have been up to and what’s been going on around camp.
