Beqa  Diving

I arrived in Fiji after being in Australia for a month. By complete coincidence, I met someone doing the same project as me, for the same amount of time that I was in the airport.

I have now been in Fiji for 6 weeks and have loved every second. Having to cook and learn what can be used from the ground here in Fiji is very enjoyable, as well as meeting the locals in the neighbouring villages and feasting on Lovos and drinking kava.

It has been full of diving, trips to the resort, weekends exploring Suva, as well as plenty laughter around camp. Whilst being on Beqa, I have had the opportunity to get my PADI Open Water and also my Advanced Open Water diving qualification and can now conduct fish surveys for the rest of my time in Fiji. As a photographer, diving here in Fiji has given me the opportunity to develop my skills in marine photography. Being in Beqa has played a huge part in my first large trip being away from home.

If you have a trip planned to Beqa, I hope you enjoy it as much as I have!
