Melissa's  Memories

I put my name down for turtles today so my alarm went off at 4:30am. Looking down Leona beach, the moon was low in the sky, so it was really big, and shone really bright. Turning round and looking down Carate beach, the sun was rising slowly setting up the day.

Camp  Wildlife

I’ve had a wonderful week, started laying sand trap pits on two trails close to camp, and I will be setting my camera traps up very soon also. Also, there was a puma print on one of our trails close to camp two days ago!

Waste No  Time

Going to the local town of Puerto Jimenez is always an exciting activity for our volunteers. Not only does it provide more of an opportunity to interact with the locals and experience a vibrant town, but it simultaneously provides opportunities to further help the local community.

A Visit To The Chocolate  Farm

As fantastic as the jungle camp life is; it’s always a nice treat catching the bumpy collective ride into Puerto Jimenez for a fun filled weekend. Kicking it off as we meant to go on – enjoying a nice meal with the others, washed down by a couple’a cold ones, all accompanied by addictive card games.
