Time In Antigua

Antigua was a city filled with colour and charm. The Spanish colonial city was largely destroyed in 1773, after a series of devastating earthquakes and was left abandoned for 75 years. As a result, every couple of metres one stumbles across striking ruins from the 17th and 18th century.

Ruins And Celebrations In Guatamala

Week 2 began with a trip to the Palenque ruins. An early start was definitely worth it after spending the day in the sun climbing temples and getting some cool Instagram photos in various positions. In the afternoon, we relaxed by some amazing waterfalls trying (and failing) to improve our tans.
