Because you only live once

If you are in a rush and only have a short amount of time but still have the travel bug and fancy something a little different then Frontier have a wide range of trips ranging from a week to only a couple of days. Here are a few short, worthwhile trips and places you could either incorporate in your travels or do on their own as a spontaneous trip because well obviously ‘YOLO’.

If you only have 5 hours- Rio de Janeiro Welcome Tour:

So if a Brazilian adventure takes your fancy then the welcome tour of Rio de Janeiro will do the trick. You can enjoy this day tour along with fellow travellers, whilst taking in all of the world famous and must see sights of the city.

4 Days- Climb Machu Picchu:

Machu Picchu has interested visitors and archaeologists for nearly a century. The ancient ruined city was home to Incan emperors for over 100 years and was roughly built in AD1400. The city is atop a steep, emerald green peak about 8000 feet high in the Andes in Southern Peru. So if discovering this amazing site with its tremendous views is something you would like to be involved with then the Inca Trail in South America is perfect for you. The Inca Trail passes through the Incan ruins of Machu Picchu so on this adventure you will have the opportunity to explore one of the new Seven Wonders of the World, the truly amazing Incan city with its magical atmosphere.

6 Days- South Africa Garden Route:

This tour is great for anyone looking to experience as much of South Africa as possible in a short space of time. You get to experience South Africa’s green landscape where you travel from the lively Port Elizabeth to the beautiful city of Cape Town. Travelling along the famous Garden Route you will be able to experience it all, ranging from awe-inspiring mountain ranges of Langeberg and Riviersonderend and spectacular coastlines to stunning lagoons and steep gorges. You will have the opportunity to visit some of the best dolphin and whale watching areas in the world and also to be able to hike in ancient wetlands and forests. Not only this, but you can visit Jefferson’s Bay which is known as one of the top surfing spots.

9 Days- Indonesia Jungle Adventure:

So you have a little bit more time. Fancy an exotic adventure in one of the most beautiful and diverse locations on Earth where you will be sleeping under tarpaulins, listening to the sounds of the jungle and then waking up to the sounds of exotic bird callings? This 9 day expedition gives you a taste of being emerged within the Sumatran rainforest, where you will get the chance to track wild Orangutans in their beautiful natural habitat, whilst learning new jungle survival skills and about the importance of ecotourism for the precious rainforest and its natural resources. Whilst on the trek not only will you get to see the amazing orangutans but you could have the exciting encounter of a range of species such as tapir and elephants.

Thailand is an incredible place to go to if you are looking to experience it all, from alluring culture and amazing biodiversity to charming natural surroundings. Thailand has fascinating heritage Buddhist roots, blue clear waters and beautiful beaches. Snorkelling and scuba diving are a favourite in its amazing waters, however if you feel like giving something back and helping to protect the threat to some animals as well as enjoying all Thailand has to offer then Frontier’s elephant conservation project is just for you.
