Australia has for a long time been a favourite destination for backpacking gappers with four million people visiting on average each year. The year-long working visa available to those under 30 makes it a popular choice for those wanting to earn money whilst travelling. The advantage of both countries having English as a native language make working easier as well as the thought of travelling alone to meet new people a less daunting task for novice travellers.
Both countries are famous for attracting young people looking for adventure and sunnier climates, so here at Into the Wild we’ve chosen our five favourite new Oz and New Zealand projects from Frontier. From conservation in New Zealand to surf camps in Australia – these projects are all about getting out there and making the most of your experience down-under!
