More predictions from a cephalopod

Fans of taking betting advice from underwater creatures will be happy to know this week that Paul the football match predicting octopus has a successor in the shape of Pavlik.

The Ukranian octopus from Kiev is apparently going to be traianed to see into the future much like his German counterpart. Pavlik is actually the slavic version of name Paul, a bid to perhaps continue the legacy of arguably the only interesting thing about the last World Cup.

Pavlik has already begun his training and in a warm up game correctly chose Barcelona to beat Shaktar in the recent European Cup matches. A bit of an easy one you might say but his handlers probably didn't want to chuck him in at the deep end at this early stage.

"We put the aquarium in front of the TV so he could watch the game. Hopefully, he likes football."

If you're interested in studying marine life in a non-betting capacity why not get in touch and find out about our many projects across the globe.
